Karen Kendra Holmes works for the Federal Government as a Safety Officer and is a Cadre Member with the Disaster Team. Because of her deep commitment to ensure safe and healthy environments for all people, she has decided to share her training in Life Support. She was one of 42 females from around the world in a special 2015 edition The Platform Magazine for up and coming inspiring women for their achievements with a purpose making a contributing difference in their communities. In October 2013 she received "Soldier of the Year" by the State Guard Association of the United States out of 24 states and 23 thousand soldiers. In December 2012 she received "Soldier of the Year" by the Maryland State Guard Association and The Maryland Defense Force. She was selected in August 2012 by The International Women's Leadership Association, "A Woman of Outstanding Leadership in the Business Owner Division". She has been doing volunteer work with the Maryland Defense Force under the Maryland National Guards with the Chaplain's Unit as a Chaplain's Assistance, Force Protection, and with the Honor Guards. She has been doing volunteer work with the American Red Cross for the National Capital Region since 2009 on the Disaster Action Team (DAT) and over sees the MASS Care for Montgomery County Chapter. For several years, she has been volunteering with Community Emergency Response Team (CERTs) in Prince George's County, MD, and also with the Medical Reserve Corps. Karen previously volunteered with the MNCPPC Park Police Prince George's County Division for 7 years, 5 of them as their President, and received several awards for her service. She serves on the board for Equality Maryland and the board for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) in Prince George's County, MD. She is certified as an instructor through the National Safety Council (NSC). Karen believes whole heartedly in the importance of and Giving Back to her Community, and looks forward to serving as a training resource for First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Tracey Fowlkes

Tracey L. Fowlkes has been CPR-qualified for over 10 years and has provided CPR and safety-related training for over nine years. She founded Certified Safety Educators because of her deep belief in the importance of safety training and her firm commitment to helping individuals become fully competent in emergency situations. She loves to teach and draws profound satisfaction from observing her trainees learn from her instruction. She is qualified to teach CPR & AED, General First Aide, Wilderness First Aid; Blood Borne Pathogens; Emergency Oxygen Administration; and Babysitting Basics. Tracey's volunteer commitments are just as important to her as her professional commitments. She has provided volunteer assistance to the Director of the YWCA in overseeing program-related trainings. She has volunteered as a trainer at My Sister's Place Lodge, a transitional housing program for homeless women of Baltimore City who have been diagnosed with a disability and are working toward self-sufficiency. As a volunteer at My Sister's Place Lodge, Tracey has conducted trainings on conflict resolution, team building, job preparation and life skills. She also founded and organized SPIN (Single People in Need), a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting and supporting single parents on campus. In addition to training others, Tracey continues her own educational path. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, a Master’s degree in Management and Human Resources from University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, Maryland, and is currently in the dissertation phase of her PhD in Education – Postsecondary and Adult Education – at Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Fazia Mack, works for Sandalwood Management as Director of Sales & Marketing, and oversees 11 hotel properties in the Mid Atlantic region. She is a graduate of the Chesapeake Safety Council's well renowned program in CPR/AED and First Aid. She has been doing volunteer work with the American Red Cross (ARC) for the National Capital Region since 2009, and is a part of the Disaster Action Team (DAT). As a DAT member when on call she responds to any disasters in Montgomery County. Ms. Mack holds a certification in Disaster Management from the ARC. She is a multi-lingual person and a well travel veteran of the hospitality industry for over a decade, and is committed to delivering world class teaching to her students enrolled in SafetyFirst DMV. She is our Certified Training Center Administrator with an open door policy for all. She is certified as an instructor through the National Safety Council (NSC). Fazia believes whole heartedly in providing a safe environment in the community and surrounding areas she lives in, and looks forward to serving as a training resource for First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Bill Pritchard

Bill Pritchard primarily teaches Standard First Aid/CPR/First Aid/CPR/AED. He is also qualified to teach Bloodborne Pathogens and standard Wilderness First Aid. Prior to joining SafetyFirst DMV, Bill owned and operated FirstAid Training Service out of Arlington, VA. He began teaching First Aid/CPR/AED in 2004 as an American Red Cross health and safety instructor. Over the years he has taught groups as diverse as restaurant staffs, office workers, Civil Air Patrol members, and members of the Army Band. He enjoys providing these courses and helping others develop lifesaving skills. He also has a background in disaster relief and emergency preparation. As a Red Cross volunteer, Bill has been deployed several times to the southern U.S. following devastating hurricanes and tornado storms. His first deployment was during Hurricane Katrina. He has continued as a Red Cross volunteer, serving in a variety of capacities. He also was a volunteer member of the Civil Air Patrol, serving as a safety officer, aerospace education officer, and deputy squadron commander. Other work experiences include a tour as coordinator for the Arlington County Medical Reserve Corps — a public health volunteer organization — and two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia, West Africa. For several years prior to his move toward safety training and disaster relief, Bill was a reporter and editor for various news organizations in Washington DC.
